Falilah “Aisha” Bilal has worked tirelessly for over 20 years as a community leader. Her work is centered in healing practices, empowering women and girls, youth development and innovative thought and transformative movement. Falilah provides visionary, dynamic, and strategic leadership to organizations, individuals and groups. Most recently she served as the Executive Director for MISSSEY raising over 2 million dollars in funds to support sexually exploited children and young adults. Also, Ms. Bilal has worked for the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department, Oakland Bay Area CARES Mentoring Movement, GirlSource, Office of Family, Children and Youth, City of Oakland, and the Young Women’s Freedom Center formerly known as the Center for Young Women’s Development. She holds a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies and a B.A. in Theater Arts and Child Psychology from San Francisco State University.
